The pomegranate is simply the fruit of the pomegranate tree (Punica granatum) of the Lythraceae family. It is an "exotic" fruit, which deserves to be consumed often, because of its many qualities.

The beautiful story of the pomegranate

Originally from Iran, the pomegranate is grown in many countries in Asia (China, Japan, Burma) and the Middle East (Iraq, Israel, Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia) because it loves the sun and resists very well to Drought. This fruit is also found in an area stretching from Turkey to Russia (Caucasus), in North Africa (Egypt, Morocco, Algeria) as well as in Spain. Important orchards also exist in the United States (California) and in Mexico. In India, it is grown as a condiment. In France, there are farms in the Gard department. In Latin America and the Caribbean, its establishment came from Spain during colonization.

Among the 1200 known varieties, some are cultivated for the beauty of their flowers. Thus, the dwarf pomegranate, Punica granatum by its horticultural name, is a small bush reaching one meter in height, used as an ornamental shrub. Other varieties produce extremely acidic almost black purple fruits, becoming unsuitable for consumption. In edible fruits, each variety is linked to a region of the producing country. We distinguish for example the Wonderful in Israel, the Mollar and the Tendrar in Spain, the Hicaz in Turkey, etc.

Pomegranate properties

The pomegranate is considered one of the fruits of the Paradis. It is attributed with qualities linked to vitality and it symbolizes the energy of Life, favoring fertility and power. By its composition of thousand-seeded fruits arranged in cells, it was associated with procreation in ancient Mesopotamian civilization.

For its consumption of the fresh fruit, it is necessary to retain only the arils i.e. the inner red seeds. But in the case of juices (extraction), it is the whole of the fruit that is used. In the arils, there are flavanols (or catechins) and flavanol dimers (procyanidols). The skin of the fruit rich in ellagitannins (glucose of HHDP acids) and gallotannins (glucose of gallic acids) gives it its raised acidity in its low pH rich in protons.

A detailed analysis of pomegranate juice identified 18 volatile components, including monoterpenes, aldehydes, alcohols, monoterpenoids and linear hydrocarbons. The activity antioxidant of this fruit in its juice state is exceptional, well beyond the best red wines or green tea infusions. the Professor Happy even advises the use of the elixir of pomegranate juice as an excellent aperitif drink, before the midday meal. However, on the market, pomegranate juices have very different qualities and it is therefore necessary to remain very vigilant in their choice.

In terms of health, all studies show that pomegranate is beneficial. Thus, a single grenade provides nearly 40% of our daily vitamin C needs and the richness in polyphenols (natural antioxidants) delays cell aging, reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases (arteritis, stroke, etc.), reducing atherosclerosis and hypertension. It could also reduce neurological pathologies (Alzheimer's) and even cancers (prostate and breast).

Fermented juice will be more effective than fresh juice, because the polyphenols released by fermentation act on diseased cells. Thus, in leukemia, either the cells become healthy again (redifferentiation), or they are pushed towards death (apoptosis). In addition, polyphenols prevent the formation of new blood vessels (neoangiogenesis) and thus reduce the spread of the tumor.

Composition of pomegranate

The nutritional value of pomegranate can vary from region to region depending on exposure and terroir. But, in any case, whatever the production, the pomegranate is always low in calories, since a half-fruit of 9.5 cm in diameter weighing 77 g, provides barely 64 calories. The average composition for 100 grams of fresh fruit is as follows (see table).

Bioelectronic measurements

Bioelectronic measurements have confirmed the health value of this sun-kissed fruit. I carried out the measurements from 4 different varieties: fresh juice, fermented juice elixir (Dr. Jacobs), 100% fermented "GranaProsan" capsules from Dr. Jacobs and a capsule preparation "Granadium" from the laboratory Phytomisan (ABEV partner). Capsule powder measurements were made using the method of mixing with water 1/10 based on distilled and hydrogenated water. The table specifies the measurements of water in its pure state and presents the various measurements obtained with the Vincent Bioelectonimeter.

The fresh fruit reduced in juice, by its potential (pH) acid confirms the properties of the skin of the fruit. This value will be found throughout the 4 measures. The indication of the rH2 (26.3 oxidation-reduction) is logical since it is a fruit exposed to the sun. The low resistivity validates its charge of good quality components for the organism.

pomegranate elixir Dr. Jacobs, has an rH2 of 23, offered by the fermentation, but a little weak. On the other hand the capsules GranaProsan from Dr. Jacobs, made with 100% fermented and freeze-dried pomegranate juice (therefore without water), reveal the tremendous value antioxidant of this fruit with an rH2 of 6, very reductive, as well as a high concentration of minerals.

capsules Granadium from the laboratory Phytomisan du Dr Nasim, are a preparation of fermented pomegranate and vitamin C (blood, heart and prostate conditioner). The contribution of vitamin C influences the pH making it even more acidic (2.8) as well as the rH2 of 1,5 which is even more reductive. The addition of vitamin C decreases the resistivity and increases the fluidifying potential, favorable to blood circulation.

The symbol of life

Pomegranate juice helps maintain health, but the capsules made with fermented and freeze-dried juice are placed directly in dial 1 of the Bioelectronigram Vincent, health donors. Their very high proton and electron charge gives them exceptional value. For their consumption, we strongly advise to include them, by opening each capsule in salads of raw vegetables. Those of fruits (juicy, oleaginous and dried, etc.) of “living” breakfasts, recommended by Bioelectronics, and those beginning each meal, especially the midday meal. The pomegranate will thus be able to contribute to preserving health and will confirm its reputation as a fruit symbolizing Life.
